Things at Marco Shutters are buzzing as we make use of our new, larger location. We kicked off the month with our Open House, which attracted 122 visitors, including members of the Omaha Chamber of Commerce for our official ribbon cutting. A great time was had by all, and thanks especially to Anthony’s for the terrific catering.

If you haven’t had a chance to stop by our new location 707 N. Frontier Road behind Home Depot in Papillion, come on over! We’d love to show off the new facility, including the beautiful concrete countertops installed by my friend Chuck Monico at Concrete Countertop Innovations.

Here’s the latest update on our products and processes:

• We’ve converted to water-borne lacquers, which are more environmentally friendly for our guys because they put off less fumes, but they’re even better for our clients. Our new lacquers are more resistant to yellowing from the sun, and stay truer to the original color when used over stain
• We’ve implemented a new rail processing line, making our process much more efficient
• Our staff has grown by two new craftsmen, and we’re still looking for more as business continues to explode
